Favorite Quote:
"Why did they make birds so delicate and fine as those sea swallows when the ocean can be so cruel? She is kind and very beautiful. But she can be so cruel and it comes so suddenly and such birds that fly, dipping and hunting, with their small sad voices are made too delicately for the sea." -Ernest Hemingway from "The Old Man and the Sea"

Can't you hear me?

Striding behind you,

echoes of footsteps

bounce off linoleum.

My steps are petroleum,

lighting up fires.

My love is a spire,

to which I aspire.

I inspire:

the masses,

their classes,

stuck on their a**es

searching for assets,

among the distracted.

We scream to our temples.

Holding our temples.

You turn and I fumble,

my faith in you crumbles.

My steps slam the floor of

linoleum.

I like that the echo off of linoleum is so loud in a place where so few are heard. Isn't that ironic?
