Exposing a whole new world
Peeling off a whole new layer
Gently, ***
Slowly, ***
Carefully***
That grasps,
Touches,
The tiny tickly tingling*** sense
Implanted deep within the soul
This,
Is poetry.
Poetry is the Adam and Eve ***
The first,
The base,
Of the magic joy of pure music
It’s the heat of the summer*** ***
The ingredient that makes everything yummy*** ***
The tick in the clock, ***
The pages in a book ***
It’s the core of the earth-
Holding everything together as one
The heart of writing itself
Poetry is this.
