What if
Things could go back
To how they were before
My stupid mouth decided to tell you
Everything and ruined the carefree friendship
That we had and turned it
Into something that I always feared:
Censored and refrained,
Quiet silences and awkward glances replace
Boisterous, thoughtless laughter.
Remember when we never ran out
of things to say?
I don’t even know how to say that, now.
