Unobtainable
I see a face flash by,
High cheekbones, long curly brown hair, and a smile that makes my heart skip a beat,
But there is something missing--
eyes without a color,an absence in the heart, a soul unfettered.
A moment goes by and I hear a voice,
Soft, quiet, and poisonous--
Her tune stings like a needle piercing the skin,
Stories being told that all have the same ending:
I alone and her with another.
