Tuqburni
A “tuqburni” is an Arabic word that literally means “You bury me.” It is often used to describe a love so strong that life without your partner is unimaginable.
I crave a love too powerful for the human world
I crave my tuqburni
With a blazing fire
That would put even the sun to shame
I crave a love so strong
That would make Hercules envious
A passion so deep
Even the deepest ocean could not compete
I desire love to my grave
Love so deep it is inscribed in my bones
A tuqburni so strong
His name is inked in my blood
I fear such a desire
Such a craving, so desperate
I fear the power of this love
This love so powerful
I fear such a tuqburni
That even the light of day
Becomes the depth of the darkness
Where I see nothing without him
But even with this fear
This tuqburni
This desire to love someone so fully
Overturns all doubt
I crave a love too powerful for the human world
I crave my tuqburni
