Forgive My Stare
Your straight teeth,
Yellow in edges from
Calming death,
Wrapped in white paper,
Staining your fingernails,
Are perfect to me.
The way you pause,
Freeze,
Just for a moment
Before your laugh
Breaks its shackles,
Brings me intrigue.
Forgive me when I stare;
There are few moments where
Your thoughts are in complete
Solitude, eyebrows calm,
Heart steady at pace,
Ticking in time as it should.
I cannot help but
Suck in those moments,
Remember every freckles' home,
Engrave peace into my mind.
Through our falls and breaks,
Those peaceful occurrences
Are what remind me:
We will make it;
We will know love.
