Time Capsule

A moment was all it took,
for a moment was all we had.
A second, a minute, a year
who knew?
But in that moment we understood.
The stars were a place of journey
not a place of rest.
The core of the Earth pulsed with our hearts,
elevating our adrenaline.
We were cursed.
Only beauty visible in our eyes,
seeing what others forgot.
And with our pupils dilated
we ran,
all the way till the end.
Leaving those who only understood fear.
