Waiting for a good reason to leave
Shouldn’t the idea be enough
That of finally being free?
Haven’t you always wanted to see
The world for yourself,
Not just from what you have read on many a shelf?
There’s no gain without any pain
So what’s stopping you from hopping on the plane…
I thought you wanted to get away.
If you can’t find any courage
Don’t grab the mask that’s been hidden away in storage.
Seek for it in some other source
And hope it doesn’t become a curse.
Because no one knows what lies ahead
But it’s certainly better than being dead.
Take the ticket and enjoy the ride
