Breakup by EmG
I gave you too much, and you took it for granted.
I have had hurt, heartbreak, and tears. Most of which you planted.
I should have run a long time ago.
You caused chaos, my emotions tossed to and fro.
You used to be wonderful, but you left me in tears.
You told me to be courageous and to face my fears.
I want to take my words back, you're not a rare one.
You're just like all the others.
You tore my walls down only to break me.
I'm almost glad I'm done with you. For the first time I feel alive, I feel free.
I admit even though you hurt me I will miss you, because I still love you.
But you didn't want me. We don't belong together. I will not pursue.
Yet you were the one I should have been afraid of.
I thought you were the only one I could ever love.
You never wanted me, yet I loved you with all my heart.
I was wrong, when I thought we'd never part.
You lied! You were never there.
You never really cared.
It hurts to know that you promised you'd never hurt me.
Yet you're the one who hurt me the most.
