If I had to choose
There isn’t a term to describe what we are.
She is the intellectual;
she forces me to think about what life I want to look back on in 25 years.
She had eyes that smiled when she did.
She is the fun one;
the person with whom I get into the most trouble.
Light hair,
a shade of brown that looked as if the sun had kissed it passionately.
She is the ‘mom’
the most over protective; my role model.
Her hair skin was as porcelain white as a dolls, freckles peppered her cheeks;
angel kisses.
She is the talker;
always bringing value to a conversation.
She was tall and it was her that made me appreciate the act of living.
She is the inspiration;
the person who has always had the power to make a permanent difference in my world.
There’s nothing like the moment you find your soul mate, your partner for life;
she was mine.
We weren’t lovers, most soul mates aren’t; we were mirrors of each other.
We had found a sense of home in one another
that had ceased to exist for us anywhere else.
It was as if we knew each other from a past life;
a past life where we may have been lovers, or sisters.
She has my heart.
She knows my soul.
There isn’t a term to describe the love we have for one another;
if I had to choose it would be soul mates.
