Above me, the branches sway
Bared with cold
Clothed once more in snow
Dressed simply in white
Elegantly shimmering in uncut diamonds
From horizon to horizon
Glass, fragile and misty, plates their visage
Having seen them, glowing,
In their beauty
Jeweled in ghastly riches
Kindred and unselfish
Living masterpieces
Marble statues
Not a movement of their own
Open arms
Porcelain forms
Quivering in the icy breeze
Ravishing as they are
Shivering from the wind
Topaz crowns replaced with silver
Understanding without words
Viewing their surroundings in patience
Willowy monarchs
X-ing out the darkening sky
Yellow stars refracting them, their own universe
Zeniths, reaching for the moon
