Mossy rocks
surrounded by flowers
are beneath the spotlight of
the sun rays peeking through
the grand oak trees.

Pitter pattering
of animals
fills the silence
and harmonizes with
millions of water droplets
rolling around one another
in the stream.

The calm August breeze
conducts the leaves
to rustle carefully
and the choir of colorful birds
sing their soprano notes
crescendoing and decrescendoing
as they create tremolos with their beating wings.

From the wolves’ hearty howl
to the chirping of the crickets,
nature’s song
serenades its listeners.
Each phrase
a masterpiece down to the roots.

Yet,
the moss covered rocks
ringed in purple lilies
receive recognition for their
beauty
while nature’s orchestra
is left humming in the distance.
