Here I stand,
Waiting to reach the stars,
These vivid dreams awake my mind

The moon floats high,
Over a bright lit shine,
I am a dreamer in the light of day

This hope I hold on tight,
I won't let go,
Till my heart is stone

These flames facade,
This is my soul,
My heart is set to relish my dreams,
I know the pathway like the back of my hand

My lungs breath in,
A vast desire,
My mind is open,
My soul is a blaze of fire

Yet in the dead of night,
I sit alone,
In the shadows’ fright,
I fear these thoughts,
That blacken my heart,
Shivers down my spine

With faith in shreds,
And a burned out flame,
I’ve given up hope as my heart begins to sleep,
I’ve faced reality

I’ve frightened myself with spiteful things,
A world where darkness pains the light,
My heart skips a beat

I’ve scared myself,
I cower and hide,
Until a new dawns

With troubles tucked away,
I still feel pain,
A Real world is out there,
Waiting in vain

Oh, this fantasy I’ve made,
I detest
