Mistakes are what make a person
He makes them
She makes them
We’re all the same

Day
After day
Consequences show
Through the black veil of our anger
Our erratic emotions reveal the worst in us
One moment of uncontrollable stupidity can mar someone that you love
And when that hour long moment which felt like a glorious victory does indeed fade
It exposes the faults in the anger as well as
The cheated seal of victory
Which is stained by a
Torn thread of
Trust

That’s why it’s wise
When confronted with rage
To rise above
And turn that next page

And hope for better days
Ones filled with love
Not resentment

I like this piece because I can relate to it, as I'm sure others can as well. It's a reminder to me to keep my temper in check, and remind myself that whatever difficulties come my way, I can overcome them.
