"School days are the unhappiest in the whole span of human existence. They are full of dull, unintelligible tasks, new and unpleasant ordinances, with brutal violations of common sense and common decency." -Henry Louis Mencken

Dive into my thoughts,

my motives, my actions.

Witness every memory as your own

Read every thought

and put yourself in my shoes

Please don’t however

jump to the worst conclusion

You take one glance and think

you know everything

That you know my fights, struggles, and battles

The pain that lies inside me

Every assumption drives the blade deeper

Open up your arms to welcome the pain

People act as if they know you

as if they have the right to judge you

That right is reserved to the few

that bother getting to know me and my troubles

Keep your opinion to yourself

and tuck it away with you

Don’t let it show on your face

or in your actions

The nameless people’s judgements

only cause the blade to be driven in deeper
