Fall Painting

The rough tongue of a pine
The dull whisper of an oak
Leaves fall gently to the soft earth
A slight breeze is blowing,
Telling stories of it’s own
A hedgehog sleeps
Nestled safely away
There is no disquiet
Only peaceful slumber whilst
The forest sings it’s lullaby.
