Forever
Photographs begin to fade,
Flowers dry up,
Letter, books, all half-eaten
Everything broken and scattered.
Forever is just a lie,
Used by several impostors
Make you believe in dreams,
Leave you numb and shattered.
Replaying those moments again
But somehow they seem blurred.
Eyes brimming with tears,
Many thoughts left unuttered.
Memories fade, people leave.
New people come and take their place.
Similar promises, similar dreams,
And, the cycle starts afresh.
