Remember me for what I’ve said,
For I’ve done things I regret,
My words, the only beauty I bring,
Everything else is just fragments.
Let me pass a memory to the world,
A story of love and hope,
Not this hate, this fear, this pain,
Don’t let me be seen that way.
Not by the world or my descendants,
The only ones to know this man,
My family, friends, enemies,
Only they may know who I am.
