She is leaving home

About to see the world alone

The sweetness of freedom soon she'll taste

But also the bitterness of long grey days

Letters she will write every night

To let them know that she's all right

And that she misses them

And loves them

Oh, so much!

Worry not for she'll take on the world

My name "Andressa Niña" literally means "Brave Little Girl", which I find very much fitting for my personality, and I wrote this poem the day before I left my home country to undertake an exchange program in Czech Republic. Summer/Spring 2013.
