Hankering For Hannah
The desire, the craving, the hunger
The yearning for a strong woman
A teenager with the morals of a professional
The commitment to improvement.
When I miss her, I miss me
We sneak looks at each other constantly
While I do drills for football in the gym
She is talking to her coach about basketball
When we kiss her lip piercing tickles me
Not on my flesh, but in my mind.
Not so inconspicuously a smile,
Creeps across my face and grabs her.
For one large hug, then she disappears,
Off to another class that we do not share.
