Not all God's children........................

She opened her mouth,
I stood there expecting something-a melody.
A tune with harmony
and meaning.
That didn't come out.
She called it music.
I called it a bastardisation of notes that caused my auditory nerve to hide.
They called in pain
unending pain.
Feigning a smile, I told the little girl
"Honey, Not all God's children....
can sing"
