A drop of ink is nothing
Unless it has been put
Upon a paper silent
Meaning to be used

The scratch of pens is desperate
No noise beyond my ears
Until the words are towers
Soaring past all fears

A cover is a barrier
Above a brand new tale
If never opened
What is left to tell?

A shelf is a mountain
Reaching for the sky
Each boulder different sizes
Changing every time

A library is a storage room
With no one to enjoy
Turning one by one
Each page at a time
