Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, but I'm not sure about the first one
-Albert Einstein

A shattered tooth juts up alone

tribute carved in sodden stone

he lies in anguish, sorrow rock

waiting for the demon’s clock

to ring

and above it, devil flag unfurled

beacon to immortal world

shadow dance, moonlight pale

holding breath for moody gale

to sing

see the beauty, be entranced

like this the night has never danced

and on his night, the resting child

below the earth, long reviled

is king

as shadows call, they beckon him

with dripping arms of ebon glim

to the land eternal night

and at last the spirit flight

is over

the dawn is risen, men assemble

almost shadows they resemble

clothed in black to pay their last

to the boy whose spirit passed

little do they know

For they sing to empty tomb

the broken grave marks empty womb

the child gone, soul has fled

to the realm of peaceful dead

the night has called him
under

The author's comments:
the night has come to pay tribute to the dead child in its own way. It may seem to be a depressing piece, but there is an underlying message if you can catch it.
