There is a reason
why old men,
No, wise men,
who disagree amongst themselves
come to harmonize in the fall.

Because the red passion
of the trees
and the rough of their bark
represent the pinnacle

The pinnacle
When you see the passion of life
past the roughness of people
and it brings tears to your eyes

This is why old men weep.

I thought up this poem in response to a photograph of the road less taken. There were trees in the far background that were red despite the vibrant green of all the other trees. In turn, these trees reminded me of two important role models in my life who love the fall season and I dedicate this poem to them, Mr. B and Mr. M.
