Favorite Quote:
"...I wrote because that was who I was at the core, and if I was too damaged to walk around the block, I was lucky all the same. Once I got to my desk, once I started writing, I still believed anything was possible.”
-Alice Hoffman

White wave of innocence
Touching sand like hope
Sweeping back and forth

White wave of innocence
Rushing past dark rocks
Always healing from its cuts

White wave of innocence
Moving through the night
Strengthened by the moonlight

White wave of innocence
Glistening with light
Let your pure white foam

Crash down upon me

The author's comments:
Waves have a beautiful way of approaching the tide and backing away from it only to return again. I think that people can do the same with their goals, and get closer to them, get knocked down, and keep trying until they eventually succeed.
