As I try to keep the tears at bay
He won't be coming back
Trust our friendship lacks
In its place is lost hope
Memories dangle on a thin rope
I can't help but feel helpless
At the sight of this mess
Wounds I've tried to mend
But I'm afraid it has come to an end
