i see you in the rearview
lookin like a modern james dean
a marlboro hangin out the corner
of you up turned lips
a smirk that tells pretty lies
and eyes that tell you the harsh truth
glaring and taunting
like you know a secret
but wont share
you look at me
through me
makin me lose my focus
i catch my breath

a small fragile hand comes into the picture
grabbing your large rough one
you turn ,
your face grows softer as you look at the beautiful woman next to you
clutching to your hand
like a life preserver
you both turn around
and walk away

im forgotten
no matter our little moments
when i cross your mind and
make you grin

she always wins
taking you into a blissful place

im forgotten
again
and i miss you already
i look away from the mirror
i drive
far away

far from your smile and her beauty
i get as far away as possible
i miss you already
