"Scenery without solace is meaningless." -The Five People You Meet In Heaven (Mitch Albom)

In a chartreuse meadow
vibrant wildflowers lie pale in the moonlight
with fireflies all aglow
before the sun rises and they take flight

She's wild and free
and yet she shines, O how she shines
with a sense of propriety,
yes, she's a gem found in the deepest mines.

In a chartreuse meadow
children run with all their might
to chase the fireflies all aglow
daunting them and taunting them in the night.

Nothing is as beautiful as she,
my chartreuse meadow.
If you seen her, you'd soon agree.
Nothing more beautiful than her and her glowing friends,
not you, not me. Not the glistening sea.

In a chartreuse meadow,
I lay admiring she,
the only love I'd ever known
that never loved me.
