Heartsick Fantasy
Her pretty face and wide eyes hide
The pain that is lurking inside
Beneath a mask no one can see
How her heart beats in agony
For I was who kissed her way back when..
  The moon was bright
 The lights were dim
And held in her in the chilly air
And ran my fingers through her hair
I told her that I loved her so
And that I'd never let her go
But lies always sound sweetest to the ear
And shes held on through all these years
Although she knows I am gone for good
She still wishes that she just could
Hold me close for one more night
And never have to face the light
Of morning when she must wake and leave
 Her happy, heartsick fantasy
