Sweet Lullabies

The songful birds sang sweet lullabies
As they faded into a flawless fantasy
Of a harmonious chorus heard by a humble audience
That clapped and cried at the charming chord.
To the audience’s agony the music came to an abrupt stop
As the beloved birds bid a bitter farewell.
They took off towards the tranquil tree line
Where wonders go and worries are washed away.
