Long Distance

A relationship like a dying fish
Slowly sinking to the bottom
At first it seemed like they were taking a break
Until that break never resumed

No matter how much they kept in touch
And tried to feed their hearts with love
They couldn’t stop this relationship from dying
It was something beyond their control

They didn’t want that love to end
But distance got the best of them
Sometimes it’s better to let it sink slowly
Than have it drown and swallow them whole

Wow. I love this. It shows the true emotions that come with having a long distance relationship. I can completely relate. Amazing job; 5 stars!! :D

As irony would have it this poem fits my current situation perfectly (3/20). You are missing some periods however, but well done nonetheless 5/5
