In time, In time

I watched her sprit soar
in the merriment of comfort
Her smile as pure as the ocean breeze that sweeps in on those advent days
I watched her heart tank,
all too soon to save her soul
What a heartbreak...
She'll drown it out as best she knows
And I can't help her, which hurts the most
I watched it pull her down, deep into that atmosphere of sombre, weary hearts
The moment's passed and she's here again,
but on those advent days...
I'll watch her slip, for just a bit, into her sombre ways.
