He took my hand,
and gazed into my eyes,
my soul opened up,
like a flower to light.
A kiss on each cheek,
the faint smell of mint,
he released my hands;
a shiver down my spine.
He turned around,
and took a step forward,
one glance back,
and that was that.
Away he went,
away he stayed,
how I wish I wasn't there,
for our last goodbye.
and gazed into my eyes,
my soul opened up,
like a flower to light.
A kiss on each cheek,
the faint smell of mint,
he released my hands;
a shiver down my spine.
He turned around,
and took a step forward,
one glance back,
and that was that.
Away he went,
away he stayed,
how I wish I wasn't there,
for our last goodbye.
