"We must do the things we think we cannot do."

I stand in the rain.
The drops, beating onto the ground
and into my mind
like little annoyances, things that kill everything in me.

I look up at the gray sky, then down at the ground.
A river of what I am inside.
I feel empty as I stand,
In the rain.

I want the sky to clear, to become blue again.
Don't cry, blue skies.
But how can I do that
when I'm surrounded by darkness?

Come sunlight, come another day.
But if it doesn't arrive soon,
the rain will still pour
and defeat me.

It will be here soon, I say.
Maybe the haven will help me.
Maybe the sun will shine bright.
Come save me. Come save me now.

Many teenagers today are dealing with hurtful comments and actions. Hopefully, this piece will show bullying victims that one day, everything will change for the better.
