Magazine, website & books written by teens since 1989

On their way up

Young people have to find jobs, to find themselves
To find peace with struggling their way out of childhood
Kindred spirits can be invaluable when fighting to encourage their own mistakes
The choices that will define their situation
And yet they are independent from the lives of the youth
John Hughes will not say cut nor rewrite
Their lives are only the script they stumble upon as days go on
Their personal discovery will complicate bounding into their adult lives
Parents, friends, family and kids
A new stage of life emerging during hard time times
A period of searching or a river of options flowing
Both affection and separation, a celebrated contradiction
Leave the old way of growing, closer to the new way of blooming

I really like how you compared living to an unwritten script- genius.
