After the Storm
After the storm,
The soft, fluffy white snow
Covers the Earth.
Children are running out to play,
The second the
Last snowflake falls.
Snow cities are
Being built around the
Children’s houses.
Snow people are
Being built by children as well and
They are given homes.
Children have sledding races
Down a big hill
To crown the fastest of them all.
They make snow angels
To cover the leftover, untainted, smooth
Portions of snow.
When the cold begins to bite
At their noses,
They finally come back inside
To sip hot chocolate
And get warm and cozy by the fire.
