She smiles
An everlasting grin.
Never a frown, never a tear.
Her face is absent
Of the pain she suffers-
The beatings,
The words,
Are all invisible.
Her face is a pure ocean.
But sunken in her eyes,
Is a puddle of misery.
For the smiles were just vaneers.
And the rest, were all lies.

There are so many people out there being beaten, hurt, it's so sad. That's what inspired me about this piece.
