As the days get shorter,
Weeks grow longer,
Patience runs out
And anger persists
As we understand less
We grow tired of this
We shut the lights off
And … Rest
But then in our dreams,
We are haunted by nightmares
The nightmares of truths
Truths that can not be changed
The truths that we deal with everyday
We want them to change
Pray that they change
But nothing does
We soon realize
That we can change nothing
Nothing will get better
We will be lost
Forever
