The Climb

Dark like an endless tunnel
No hope, no light
No signs
Unpleasant cold
Seeping through warm clothes
like water seeping through a hole in a sailboat
Inevitable
An endless climb
Yet people carry on
They walk
They talk
They smoke
Life goes on
Leaves fall
Spiders hide
The sun seems forever gone
Yet life goes on
Change
Snow
Like cotton balls
Fall rapidly to the ground
The sky brightens
Screaming children
Run around
Trying to catch every bit of the white stuff
Utopia
One day
A bud blooms
A bee stings
Light blinds
Hope
Awakens from its hibernation
Life goes on

I like how short the lines are and the pace it makes, and the poem itself is so pretty. I also like the change of the tone from beginning to end. Fabulous work :D
