1) Crowded Beaches

Nowhere,

no where,

no where,
To put my towel down
2) Hot Pavement

scalding,

burns and

little blisters
scatter my feet.
Why can't I be barefoot for once?
3) Mosquitos

(itch)
Stop!

(itch)
Stop!
Ugh … Leave me alone
4) Sand in My Books
You know library books?

With the plastic covers?
Well, I

shake

shake

shake.
But the sand is still there.
