Wishing For Myself
Sometimes I wish the world would fear me,
And bow before my feet.
Sometimes I wish the world would love me,
And hug me when I'm lonely.
Sometimes I wish that I had power,
And other times I wish,
That I was no more noticeable-
Than an oak tree in a park.
I wish that I knew who I was
So I could finally decide,
Which persona is the one
That I desire most.
I wish that personality was static
So that my whims would change-
As often as the century.
I wish so many frustrating things,
But they all come down to one sad meaning;
I don't know who I am
Or what I want from life.
And worst of all,
I don't know what I need.
