Hearts
Hearts are funny t
hings. They can b
reak just like an arm or a l
eg, but they never fully g
row back. If a heart grows
back, it grows twisted and narly.
Some people are good at h
iding it, covering it with a mask of s
miles and deception. They
don’t know that there is no use in
hiding. I remember last year. My
heart was torn in every wich
way. The worst part is that it was
all my fault! I had done it to
myself and hurt others along the
way. I saw her again yester
day morning at the coffee shop.
We both pretended to
not see each other. She
was stunningly beauti
ful as usual. I coul
dn’t bring myself to say a w
ord. I knew she woul
dn’t care. I was the rain
on her sunshine. I
only wanted to see
her smile, but I w as putting it out.
I’m so sorry! S eeing her wa
s like salt in a wound,
a break in my
Heart.
