I lived in a cave, away from the world
All around me, coldness and darkness swirled
You had your life, and I had mine
Little did I know, both would intertwine.
While searching for help, I stumbled upon you
You uttered words you swore were true
I fell hard, and I fell fast
In watching me fall, you looked aghast.
I rested on the ground, hands and knees scraped,
My infatuation already shaped
As you stood over me, I looked above
You bent down and whispered, "This is one-sided love".
