"Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there." Anon

Her jacket was an ocean
That waved in every wind
Reaching, grasping
Showing all the treasures within

Her hair was moonlight shine
Sparkling on the water
Twisting and dancing on the waves
Reaching each tiny ray
into the Mist

Her eyes were cold and wet
Flooding rivers onto banks

Her cheeks, remarkably warm and soft
Bearing the hand print of a
Jealous lover wanting her
To fill his lake-sized heart
With her fluent love

On the jacket, her hair danced
Madly, fiercely
Shaking with every bob of her head

Her heart, a ship sunk
fallen into the waves
Cold wind picks up
Hides the wreckage
And the rivers still
Flood
Onto the banks

The author's comments:
This piece was oddly inspired by a classmates jean jacket. He was sitting in front of me and his jacket was wrinkled. It looked like water. So, I wrote freely about a girl wearing a blue jacket.
