i have promise to keep and miles to go before i sleep- Robert Frost

Doing anything I can to get away

Running as fast as I can to escape

It's close behind and my lead is shrinking

I'm doing whatever I can to put it off

Holding onto what I have left

I'm shoving anything heavy in front of the door to keep it out

I'm trying my hardest but I'm tired from jumping fences and running away

Its a pointless fight

Its going to happen no matter what

But i still can't face it

I'm still not ready for it

But its still going to take me anyway

"We all fear death and question our place in the universe. The artist's job is not to subcome to dispair, but to find an antidote for the emptiness of existance." -Gertrude Stein in the movie Midnight In Paris.

I absolustly love it. Short, simple and so strong. I connect to it a lot. keep writing :)
