Not my home but a house
Not daddy but my father
Now my blood's ran dry
Ever since the lights went from your eyes

My once paradise is now my prison
A single white dove now two black ravens
On two gnarled shoulders
Always watchful
Always vengeful

Will the sun ever rise
Will the scars ever fade

Not a daughter
But a stranger

This poem left me heartbroken. Its only the best poems that can make you feel this way... your mind is amazing.

Thank you so much! I'm still really small on here, and no one ever really comments on my work.
