What else so clearly paints a picture,
Captures a moment,
Shares itself with the world,
Reveals the authentic person in you?
But,

Words;
Can be twisted into hatred.
Lies and rumors spread,
Hidden truths exposed,
Beliefs are challenged,
What people stand up for is knocked down.
And,

Words.
Words;
Cause all kinds of trouble.
There’s the question of right and wrong,
Freedoms and opinions,
Judgment and feelings,
The difference between expression and ignorance.
Yet,

Words.
Words;
Are what makes life go on.
Communication is how we love,
Share, express, argue, apologize, stand up,
Dream to make the world what we want to see,
And aspire to be the truest versions of ourselves as we can.
