What you are
Your eyes swirled like the ocean,
in a violent maelstrom.
The color was a deep, dark blue,
like lapis lazuli.
Your eyes seemed as if a
storm had been captured within.
Your stare was peering strongly,
beating on me relentlessly, like a drum.
Your eyes had a darkness within struggling to break free,
but they also seemed placid,
like the calm before the storm.
