Vessels
Each and every one of us
Starting out airtight.
With each heartbreak
With each loss
With each failure
We crack
We crack open and then
Only then do we see each other
We see out through our cracks
We see into others through theirs
They are no longer an idea
They are no longer the shadow from the streetlight
They are no longer the silhouette of a stranger.
They have personalities
They have faults
They have likes
They have dislikes
They are people
We are all people
Each and every one of us.
