The only easy day was yesterday

The tears of a soldier defines defeat
The blood of a soldier defines victory
The scars of a soldier defines a fighter
The tragic memories we come across dignify who we are
The moments we never experienced made us who we arnt
The pain and suffering we've dealt to make our country people live in peace and harmony
The breaks of an average man could be used to fight to keep another alive
One-hundred degrees of shame lie beneath the marching men heading towards pride
Officers grieving the families of the fallen soldiers presenting dog tags
War never ends in the eyes of a soldier whom has survived hell
Surviving soldiers awarded medals and ribbons but only the wise know the dead earned all the medals we have to offer

Watching bio's of our veterans inspired me to write about our troops and every day sacrifices they make to keep us living in freedom
